To get the most out of this free course you should undertake the practical paint mixing exercises. These require (drum roll) paint, gouache paint in fact. Gouache is an opaque watercolour which dries very quickly on paper and is, therefore, great for the exercises. Here are the paints you will need together with other accessories:

Daler Rowney Designers Gouache
1 x 14ml tube Process Yellow 675
1 x 14ml tube Process Magenta 412
1 x 14ml tube Process Cyan 120
1 x 14ml tube Permanent White 008
OR....
Winsor & Newton Designers Gouache
1 x 14ml tube Primary Yellow (CMYK Yellow)
1 x 14ml tube Permanent Rose (CMYK Magenta)
1 x 14ml tube Primary Blue (CMYK Cyan)
And....
15 to 20 A5 or A4 (letter size) sheets watercolour paper
At least one round watercolour brush, size 4 or 6
One 6 to 10 well mixing palette
One pencil, a ruler, an eraser and a compass
3 to 4 jars for water
Plain white paper kitchen towels or several clean cloths
